Why We Do What We Do

We're on a mission to help create:

“happier people and a healthier planet through adventure and community”.

Through our trips, you'll see a sunrise that'll blow your mind or perhaps make an adventure buddy for life so you can rediscover that child-like sense of excitement.

We’ll also save you a boatload of time. Did you know it takes on average 40 hours to plan a trip?

And with our gear reviews, you’ll be well equipped, comfy, and safe when you head out into the wild on your own so you can make the most of your time in the outdoors.

Our Story

A few years back, our founder George traded his office desk for the open road. George pedalled over 14,000km from Alaska to Panama wild camping along the way. He met a bear or two, stayed with the Cartel, and came back with stories that had us at the edge of our seats.

He realised that adventure is more of a state of mind than anything. And that you don’t need to quit your job and travel halfway across the world to make the every day more exciting. Adventure is right on your doorstep if you’ll just go looking.

So, Call to Adventure was born.

Keeping it real

Honesty's Our Jam

Every review we put out? We really mean it. No fluff. If we love something, we'll tell you. And if it's a miss, you'll hear about that too.

Our partnership with brands is transparent. Yes, we sometimes earn commissions (this doesn’t cost you anything extra), but our commitment to authentic, unbiased advice remains unshaken.

For the Planet

We're trying to do our bit for Mother Nature. By championing more sustainable gear and travel, we're hoping to leave the world a tad better than we found it.

We’re also a member of 1% for the Planet so we donate 1% of our revenue (not profit) to leading environmental and social programmes. So each booking you make with us or time we earn a little bit of cash from a review, you help make a difference. Nice!

George B

George (our founder) is always on the hunt for new ways to get his latest adventure fix. Uninspired and in search of stoke, George left his job in Finance in The City heading out on an 18-month off-road bike trip from Alaska to Panama. After returning home he set up Call to Adventure on a mission to help create 'happier people and a healthier planet through adventure and community'.
