It is a truly world class experience to ski this glacier. Our guide, made sure we had all the right gear and to ski safely while also making it fun and informative, with details on the geology, the high passes and the history of the glacier. Highly recommended for competent skiers with a head for heights.

She is is to skiing what Roger Federer is to tennis - a total (genuine Swiss) professional. As well as being a great instructor, she is calm, patient and kind - a lovely person to learn from who will identify the input you need to progress.

With unrivalled opportunity for backcountry exploration, there couldn’t be a better place to hone your touring skills than Chamonix and the Mont Blanc Massif. IFMGA qualified guides will safely introduce you to new routes, allowing your confidence and technique to soar. You’ll leave with a camera roll busting with spectacular views, new friends and a feeling of being even more pumped to get out touring in your own time, I know, we didn’t think that that was possible! Oh, and the hearty Alpine meals at the end of the day don’t go unappreciated either.
Introduction and briefing with your guide and first dinner in the Ski Lodge with the rest of your team.
We’ll kick off our trip with a gentle tour around the Brevent ski area – highlights of the day include ascending the Pointe de Carraye or the Col de la Gliere and a recap on avalanche rescue.
Night and dinner at the Ski Lodge in Chamonix
An early start to head over to the Grand Montets ski area and ascend to Col de Rachases (+400m). We’ll rip down to the Argentière basin before hiking up towards Col du Tour noir and spending the night in a remote backcountry ski hut.
Night and dinner at Argentière hut.
A jam-packed day tour from the hut back towards the ski lodge. The route will be decided upon during the trip by the guides. Use of crampons required.
Night and dinner at Ski Lodge in Chamonix
A trip to the Mont Blanc Massif wouldn’t be complete without a visit up the Aiguille du Midi. A high altitude tour for our last day packing in stellar views and memories you won’t forget.
Please note: this itinerary is given as an indication; weather conditions and safety requirements may mean changes are made to the programme.
You should be a strong off-piste skier (in all snow conditions) to undertake this course; it is by no means an introduction. You should be physically fit and able to walk with speed uphill for 1hr without stopping. Comfortable with 800m height climbs and altitude.

You need to be a strong skier for this one - capable off-piste and in all conditions.
You'll need to be physically fit and capable of skinning uphill for 1 hour for roughly 800 meters at a decent pace.
Please note that this is not an introduction. Checkout our intro to ski touring course for that.
Not on this one. We want to keep the price as competitive as possible and allow people to bring what gear they already have. We can help you arrange hire locally for everything you need. A premium touring set up with skis+touring bindings+skins and poles cost about £55 per day. And the avalanche safety pack including a transceiver, a shovel and probe cost about £15 per day.
We'll be perfecting your skiing skills and applying that to ski touring, learning how to move with ease and control on varying degrees of steeper slopes and harder snow conditions.
This is all about being safe on the mountains - how to read snow conditions, assess avalanche risks, how to navigate, make sense of the weather forecasts and how that impacts us as skiers. You’ll spend time practicing with transceivers, to ensure that if the worst happens you have the skills to deal with it.
During your visit in Chamonix you’ll stay at our favoured ski lodge: It will be your comfortable, cozy yet sporty home for your star.
You can literally step on to the mountains and into the magic of the valley, only a few minutes walk away from Chamonix down town.
Enjoy a delicious, hearty dinner with a mix of international classics and local delights in a home-cooked style. After dinner, swap stories of the day in the relaxed bar. During the high season they are happy to make takeaway lunches so you can immerse yourselves in the mountains all day.
