It's time for a challenge!
The National Three Peaks is the best known UK mountain challenge. Climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – all in 3 days.
You’ll be picked up at Glasgow or Warrington train station in the afternoon where you'll be driven to the start point of Fort William (feel free to meet your group there too if you wish) where you'll stay the night in a B&B and get to know you fellow hikers and guide. There'll be a Q&A session and briefing before getting a good nights sleep for the day ahead.
The next morning, the challenge begins. After a good breakfast you’ll be guided up to the summit of Ben Nevis before returning to the minibus and being shuttled off to Scafell Pike. Arriving in the evening, you’ll have time to rest in your hotel and have a well-earned beer!
It's the same again, breakfast and getting psyched to climb! But this time with different views. Soak up the panorama of the classic Lake District peaks and enjoy a summit selfie before descending to hop on the bus to north Wales.
It's the final push as you head up the final summit of Snowdon and feel the satisfaction of having climbed the 3 highest peaks in the UK! Descend in your own time, soaking up the views and then it's back home to brag about your ascents and hopefully have raised some money.
Experienced and fully qualified Mountain Leader
A decent basic level of fitness is needed for this challenge and we strongly recommend you do 2-3 months training if you're not overly familiar with hill climbing. You don't need to be a super experienced hiker, for many participants this will be the biggest hike they've ever attempted and after all it is supposed to be a challenge! You can prepare fairly easily by doing some weekend training walks and building up the miles in the legs. Some leg strength and resistance training in the gym is also great. We'll be there to support you every step of the way.
