ADVENTURE BEGIN !
Ditching the city for the mountains, we will meet at London Euston at 6pm and escape to Snowdonia for a weekend of adventure. Note that you can choose to meet us there though.
The first evening is all about getting us there. Like kids on Christmas Eve, we'll then hit the hay as early as possible, charging up for the big weekend ahead.
Come Saturday morning it's time to get the adventure juices flowing.
Following a hearty breakfast it'll be time to head out for some scrambling. Scrambling is essentially where mountain walking meets rock climbing. It often involves using hands and feet to clamber up rocks but doesn't require the gear needed for climbing.
We will set our sites on Tryfan, the holy grail of scrambling for many, given it’s the only mountain in England and Wales needing both hands and feet to reach the summit. Should the weather turn out to be truly dreadful, we can look to comparable scrambling options and/or move the scramble to Sunday.
As your reward for tackling the mighty mountain (alongside the stunning view), we will head to a cosy country pub for a team dinner, that is if the pub is open. If the pubs are shut due to Coronavirus we'll have ourselves a BBQ instead. The perfect time to enjoy a well earned bev, share some snaps and stories.
Sunday will be a chance to explore the more remote regions of Snowdonia. We will head off the beaten track to ensure we're well away from the crowds. Post hike we'll hop back in the van and ensure you're delivered safely back to London for 9pm (or as close as possible to then).
Given we only offer small group sizes (some very small with Corona), you will have plenty of chance to ask any questions, hear and tell stories, and maybe even learn something.
Our job is to ensure we prioritise your safety whilst maximising enjoyment, fun, and adventure. We've been on too many trips where the balance has been completely off, often with guides managing to take all the fun out of it or being left completely to our own devices and finding ourselves in dangerous situations.
All of our leaders are hand picked for being able to tread that line better than others and keep you safe whilst allowing you to forget about all that stuff and instead concentrate on having fun.
You don't need any experience for this one but scrambling does involve more than your regular countryside walk so keep that in mind. As with all our adventures you also need to be 18 years or older too.
As ever, itineraries can change, normally due to something like the weather. Coronavirus does mean that we have to remain flexible though so the pub may be on or off depending on how things go. Either way, it's going to be awesome.

An amazing experience. With the “all inclusive” package you basically don’t need to do anything if not enjoying two amazing days in the nature with the guidance of an expert which will help you and guide you to spectacular places
Luca N, Scrambling Snowdonia
Another wonderful weekend with them. Their trips are always with a small group and this allows you to really get to know your hiking/scrambling companions well but also means the group can agree easily any 'extras' wanted from the advertised trip. He knows Snowdonia (and just about every other good walking/scrambling/climbing spot in Britain) incredibly well and can facilitate whatever people want. Thanks again!
Nick, Scrambling Snowdonia
The best group for weekend adventures in the mountains - small, well organised and friendly trips. The guide and his team know the best locations, handles all the transport and logistics while remaining relaxed, helpful and encouraging.
Jonathan, Scrambling Snowdonia
Great group. Plenty of good COVID precautions in place (and well communicated in advance). Felt safe throughout. Got to go again.
David, Scrambling Snowdonia
This is the best way to easily and confidently enjoy the outdoor activities I love (but don't have the gear and would never do on my own!), and all at really good value prices. I have been challenged and truly blown away by the trips I've been on, and I'll definitely be going to more!
Tarry, Scrambling Snowdonia
My favorite outdoor group in the U.K. For those who look for the real mountains live and wilderness experience; an authentic meaning for nature lovers. I would definitely join them in some of his guiding tours outside the U.K. as well. Highly recommended for all real hikers and specially those who seek to improve their skills and level in mountaineering!!
NB, Scrambling Snowdonia
Optional
Return train transport from Euston to Chester is included and transfer to the mountains will be made by minibus.
The train leaves Euston Station at 6pm.
Nope. You can join without any prior scrambling experience. We only put 'intermediate' in the skill level as some absolute beginners might not feel completely comfortable scrambling. Having said that lots of people book on without ever having scrambled before and love it. If you are truly terrified of heights or a bit of exposure, this one probably isn't for you but Tryfan is regularly scaled by novices and even children so it's nothing too scary for most.
For now, given Covid-19 we'll be camping in tents. We provide tents, warm sleeping bags and sleeping mats free of charge. These are thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and quarantined for at least 1-week between uses.
Again this is Covid dependent but for now all food from breakfast on Saturday to lunch on Sunday is included. If the pub is open then the dinner on Saturday evening is not included.
Yes, all our trips are for people of 18 years of age and older.
Unfortunately not for this trip.
Unfortunately not, we offer what we believe is a competitive and fair price so we can’t offer further discounts.
