ADVENTURE BEGIN !
Oh yep, it's on like Donkey Kong. You've undertaken this thing and you're ready to tackle the weekend. First off you'll meet your guides for a quick brief then it's time to get cracking.
The first peak to bag is Foel Fras (942m), he most northerly of the Welsh 3000's. It's then on to Garnedd Uchaf (926m) to take in the unbeatable coastal views. We'll then keep chipping away at a few other impossible to pronounce peaks and finish off our day with Pen Yr Old Wen (970m). Once complete, we'll descend steeply via the Ogwen Valley.
Approximately 8-10 hours hiking
After reminding yourself about no pain no gain and all that jazz, we're kicking off day 2 with the almighty Tryfan - the only mountain in England and Wales requiring hands to summit. Here we'll find the famous Adam and Eve standing stones (compulsory selfie here). It's then a short steep climb onto Glyder Fach (994m) and the well known (if you're into this kind of thing) Cantilever Rock - you can't visit this without the obligatory photo! Glyder Fawr's (999m) up next for some of the best views Snowdonia has to offer. Y Garn (947m) and Elidir Fawr (924m) are the last peaks for today before heading back down into the Llanberis Pass.
Good game. Time for a hot shower and a well earned beverage. Or three. Don't overdo it though, we're not done yet!
Approximately 8-10 hours hiking
Day 3 and it's time for the biggie, Snowdon (and friends).
We'll ascend via Crib Goch - one of the most exciting scrambling routes in the UK - and then tick off Crib Ddysgl. And now the moment we've all been waiting for... Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales, and our final peak.
Elated and exhausted, gobble down those 8 Wagon Wheels and 5 sarnies you've been lugging around all day. Skip for joy, snap a celebratory selfie with the gang - you've done it!
The only thing left to do is head back down the mountain revelling in your achievement and soaking up the stunning scenery via the Snowdon Horseshoe (time and weather depending) or the Pyg Track route.
Congrats, the fat lady has officially sung.
Approximately 6-8 hours hiking
After a very wet first day, the weather certainly improved and overall a great trip. The organisation could not have been better from booking and responding to our concerns and queries and throughout the trip. I love the fact that we were accommodated as individuals to our ability and comfort levels allowing us to feel challenged but not too pressured to affect our enjoyment. I know I wouldn’t have felt comfortable doing the steep scrambles and this was not an issue as we had options of alternative routes. Now looking forward to the next adventure.

Thanks you so much for a wonderful 3 days in Snowdonia. We thought that our guide was a fantastic guy - really calm and reassuring, reading the conditions and the pace of the group perfectly. And he was great value - always on time in the mornings and afternoons, and always cheerful. Thanks also for the delicious packed lunches! Once the muscles have recovered we’ll start thinking about our next challenge.
Matthew, Welsh 3000's
One of the best weekends of my life. The organisation of each day was fantastic. The Guides were brilliant with the group throughout the challenge. Always helpful, understanding and informative. Special mention to our Guide with him I spent most of the trip. Well done. You have given me a reason to keep on keeping fit. I will definitely be back for another challenge. Not felt as good as I did this weekend for years!

We recommend arriving in Snowdonia the night prior to the start of your trek given the early start the following day. We will provide you with a list of accommodation places once you book.
You’re welcome to stay at the lodge we will be using for the trek as this will give you the chance to meet the team and your fellow adventurers, although this will be at your own expense.
Vehicle transfer to and from the start and finish points of your trek is included.
We recommend you buy an open ticket for your journey home if travelling by train.
This trip is tough, so you'll need to be physically fit. Each of the three days involves a full day out in the mountains so you'll ideally have some experience of mountain walking. To get the best out of the Welsh 3000's challenge we recommend you train beforehand to build up your stamina and endurance. We'll provide you with a training plan once you sign up!
Read our guide to completing the Welsh 3000's to get the gen on what's in store.
Two breakfasts and three packed lunches are provided. Evening meals aren't included but can be pre-ordered at the lodge or there are plenty of places to eat at nearby Llanberis.
Take a bladder or refillable bottle for water and a flask for hot drinks. Bring some of your favourite snacks for eating on the go in the mountains.
Three nights accommodation in dorms in a locally owned lodge are included. If you want to stay in the lodge the night before the challenge starts, this can be pre-booked.
Crib Goch and Tryfan are classed as grade one scrambles and Crib Goch in particular is very exposed. An additional Mountain Leader will join us for this and they'll be with you every step of the way.
There are alternate routes available though if you prefer - it's supposed to be fun, after all!
Yes, all our trips are for people of 18 years of age and older.
