Who Travels With Us

Your Everest Three Passes Team

Small Groups

Max 12

Enough fellow trekkers for shared stoke, small enough to move fast and bag the best teahouse rooms.

Solo Travellers

≈60 %

Most guests book solo – room share matched by gender, friendships forged over dal bhat and altitude tea.

Age Range

28-55

From late-20s weekend warriors to mid-50s mountain veterans. Fitness matters more than birthdays.

I had the pleasure of completing an 18 day trek of the Everest Three High Passes including a visit to EBC and climbing the 6189m Island Peak and couldn’t recommend this outfit enough.

Fitness

Sunday strollerMountain goat
Six-to-eight-hour hill days feel good? You’re set. Train cardio + leg strength and arrive trek-fit.

Altitude Exposure

Sea-level newbieThin-air lover
Sleeping over 5 000 m for multiple nights – acclim days built-in but you must respect the height.

Group Vibe

Do my own thingTeam-spirited
Small mixed bunch (max 12). Expect high-fives on the passes and card games in teahouses.

Comfort Level

Luxury seekerHappy roughing it
Basic twin rooms, shared loos, thin walls. Hot showers cost a few quid. Kathmandu hotel is comfy.
How to Prepare
Start training three months out. Mix long hill walks carrying 8–10 kg with two weekly cardio sessions (running, cycling or stair-master). Add leg-strength work: squats, lunges, step-ups. Break in your boots on wet, rocky ground. Book insurance covering trekking to 6 000 m plus heli-evacuation and trip interruption. Scan passport/insurance docs to your phone. Final fortnight checklist: • Back-to-back hill days to mimic the trek • Dial in your layering system; aim for a 10 kg duffel • If using Diamox, begin the day before the trek (doctor’s advice) • Hydrate aggressively – arrive in Nepal well-rested and water-loaded Mentally prep for teahouse basics: cold rooms, patchy Wi-Fi, dal bhat for days. Bring a team-first attitude – that’s the real summit secret at 5 000 m.

Altitude, Flights & Cold Nights – Here’s the Real Talk

Three things keep people from clicking “Book now”: altitude sickness, Lukla flight delays and the idea of shivering in a plywood room.

We build two acclim days into the schedule, run daily pulse-ox checks and our guides carry emergency O2 – success rate is 96 %.

Flights to Lukla are weather-reliant; we include buffer time and have heli or jeep back-ups costed and ready if the clouds roll in.

And those cold teahouses? Bring a -15 °C bag, slip into your down jacket and embrace the simple life – the stove’s roaring in the dining room and tomorrow’s sunrise will blow your mind.

Safety net in place
All departures carry satellite comms, emergency oxygen and a pre-agreed evacuation plan. You focus on the trek – we handle the what-ifs.

Everest Three Passes Trek - 20 Days

Amazing trip, with beautiful views along the way. The first pass was quite hard, but enjoyable. We were very lucky with our guide Sunil. Very professional and helpful all the time. Do the three passes instead of the Ebc, but prepare yourself for the challenge 😊 Am sure that am coming back, and it will be with them 🙏
